Help translate please

Seen this on an old census about an old great uncle and wondering what it says .Where it says death dumb  blind etc for Michael McCrorey .He was a coal hawker .

If you look at the heading of that column, the only option that would fit is "Lunatic"

Thats the 1881 census he was  born in 1870  .Wonder what could    get an 11yr old labeld a lunatic in they days .

Something like Down’s syndrome perhaps.
Plenty of Down’s syndrome able to do a labouring job.

Did he die relatively young? What of?

He might have had some condition that is now considered under the large banner of "autism".
He would have been able to do manual / labouring work, but perhaps had little ability to communicate.
