Not an expert but will guess at late Victorian.

Thank you both of you.

Yes, I have that census and  Lily is 7 years old then. 18 in the 1911. She married in 1914. She could have had a photo taken later of course.  She was 21 in 1914. that could have been the occasion of a studio photo.

Yet as japeflakes says the fashion seems to be Victorian.

Hi,

This looks like the hat Lily is wearing,

http://www.photodetective.co.uk/ClothCap.html

and here it looks most fashionable in 1906.

But I think that the clothes look Edwardian and it could be as late as 1914.

Daisy

I agree with Daisy. it helps if you could post the whole photo including the back. It looks like a postcard photo.

Late Edwardian. The large almost brimless hats were a short lived style
from around 1907-10.
The girl on the right has a shorter skirt indicating she's an older teen
probably around 17.

If it is a studio photo costumes and clothes could be borrowed so it's possible that the hats and/or stoles were a prop.

Thank you everyone, your interest is appreciated.

I did wonder about studio props too, but I would imagine they would be sort of close to fashion. The stoles are the same, so perhaps. Those studio photos were often an important occasion.

The photo is not on a postcard but in its own little photo folder. It must have been special and carefully kept. That is why I suspect photo studio. No name of studio though, there often was.

Love those hats, Incredible to wear I would think. Thanks for those links, Daisypetal. I enjoyed looking at those.

The concensus of opiniom seems  to be late Edwardian. It would seem so.

Thank you very much everyone.
