Llanilltern - 1820 marriage of John Philips and Mary Lewis
« on: Wednesday 04 September 24 15:05 BST (UK) »
Can anyone help with this?

I'm hoping to find an image of the original parish register marriage record of John Philips and Mary Lewis marrying at Llanilltern on 5 May 1820.

Thank you

I also cannot find it on Ancestry, but from West & South Wales marriages index pre 1837. Also Glamorgan Marriages index pre 1837 the marriage is as above but dated 1821.

Additional detail for Mary includes (P) which means personal details. This could be just stating her as a minor or stating married with consent of parents etc.

Glamorgan Archives could possibly hold an image of original entry, a fee would apply for search.

If anyone is able to supply an image of the original register I'd be very grateful.

Thanks for the other contributions, all useful.

Apologies, I thought this was a place where you could request lookups. My mistake.

You can certainly request lookups, however a previously stated a fee is involved for the search at the archives, that is up to you.
