Where is this?
« on: Wednesday 18 September 24 21:45 BST (UK) »
This is my late Aunt Annie 1928-1961. She is from Wexford, Ireland. She trained as a nurse in West Cornwall Hosp. Penzance, Qualified 1956. Does anyone recognise the area or hazard a guess at her age in this photo please.

It looks like it could be Market Jew Street, Penzance.

My guess would be late 1940s to very early 1950s; and age, late teens to 20ish.

I notice a Belisha beacon in the background but no zebra crossing.
These were introduced in 1951.
I suppose it depends on how long it took Penzance Council to get round to painting them
but late 40's-early 50's. looks about right to me.
