The extract you have posted is from a Judicial Sentence in the Prerogative Court of Canterbury.
It's essentially a record of the result of a challenge to a will. The challenge could be to the content of the will or to the conduct of the executor/administrator.
See the post by Bookbox here, especially what is said about the content of such a Sentence:
https://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=867367.msg7379279#msg7379279 Are you aware that
Hughe Cavell's proper will is available, in English?
It is here:
https://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/D941107 It is also on Ancestry under the name
Hugonis Cavell with probate date 4 July 1605. The testator's residence is incorrectly indexed as
Fellside in Essex (it's
ffellstedd in the will itself).
If you haven't read it already, to do so is a far better use of your time.
However, for the record it appears that the dispute was between
Bartholomew Cavell (a descendant of Hughe Cavell's brother) on the one part and
Mary and
John Cavell on the other part.
Bartholomew is mentioned in more detail in Hughe Cavell's will and Mary is probably identified in the probate section as the relict and executrice of Hughe's son
Henry. (I only scanned it briefly.)
