The mother's name looks like Han Malmbury on this clearer version

Wow visitations is not something I've heard of before but could be what it says .

Interesting article .

I'm wondering if Charlotte was born overnight 19th and baptised on 20th

Tho that doesn't explain the other record which says the 12th

I'm beginning to think this is my ancestor so not the daughter of John MALSBURY+ Hannah Higginson who I have another post about

Link to topic about MALSBURY s of Moreton pinkney

https://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=886072.0

Btw Kay I think your link should be included in useful topics for beginners

I've gone thru the baptisms of moreton pinkney from 1760 - 1802
Mostly spelt Malsbury but occasional MALMSBURY and I did find a family of
MORSLYs

Here's another Malsbury mystery : Anne from Moreton Pinkney
Can anyone decipher her age and death date

It's from parish records 1787
Could she have been 18 months rather than years ?

Looking at the full image, which is a Bishop's Transcript, Anne Malsbury was buried on August 18, probably in 1785.

She was the first burial since April 1785 (according to the BTs).

This is on image 138 of the BTs for 1706 - 1812.

I believe the record should appear on image 80 (probably, otherwise on 79) of the PRs for 1724 - 1812 but the PR burials for this year don't match well with the BTs.

 So no age is given

It's probably Ann.who was  baptised 1785 then

Thanks so much
I've not looked at burials from this era before
Is there significance  squiggle between month & date that looks a bit like a y with a over it .

It reoccurs so I thought it was short hand of a kind
