I don't know yet I'm trying to see where my TALBOT DNA matches come from .

One connection is thru phyliss Mawdesly who married Benjamin TALBOT 1795
But there must be another connection between the 2 families .

Benjamin TALBOT m Phillis MALSBURY B.1799
His brother William married Phillis MAYCOCK B 1780

One of the married ladies Phillis TALBOT was imprisoned for 1 month for receiving stolen property in 1849

One was an excellent lace maker according to village anecdotes

My mother & I have links to descendants of Phyllis Malsbury TALBOT
& To descendants of other Talbots but some trees are not correct
Many have Benjamin TALBOT s wife as Phillis MAYCOCK

Lovely description of Phyllis Maulsbury. From.a shared download of reverend Moselys Moreton Pinkney reminiscing

". A large family, very poor”. Her voice and utterance told for her as much as her looks. She was one of the best lace-makers in the village: but to think of the darkness, damp, and dirt her beautiful fabrics came out of, and the rough cubs all round her "pillow"! In her early days she had made lace that fetched 25/- or 30/- a yard."
