Hi mckha489, I'm convinced it's 'Mariner', thank you. I have browsed through the other entries and the same person wrote Marriner a number of times. I don't have access to the 1891 England Census records, all I can see is his name (Donald Campbell), age (67), approx. date of birth (1824) and profession (Master Now Disabled). He  was probably living in a Nursing Home or something like that in Liscard, Cheshire (lots of other inmates). Could Master refer to Master Mariner?

It is a home for Aged Mariners.
Others are Able seamen, Boatswains etc. and he is Master.
He is a widower.

He could be your man, but I should think there might be quite a few Donald Campbells of the same age and occupation.
Not quite sure how you could confidently rule him in or out.

Thanks. I think that's him, because the Examiner (Prince Edward Island) has published a notice about his death.

Indeed, but nothing on his wife "Marie" and daughters, apart from the 1861 census records.

His father was a Royal Navy officer, is Mariner for Merchant Navy?

From the website Crew List Index Project (CLIP) image viewer:

CAMPBELL   DONALD MACLEAN   1814   ISLE OF MULL, ARGYLE   MASTER   37524      LONDON, 18/2/1851   BT124/1, image 332, row 5 (TNA).

The DOB is different (1821-1824), and POB is close (Morvern, Argyll)

He was the master of the barque Levenside and is mentioned on many newspapers regarding a legal dispute with Captain Vesey (1851) and the ship wreckage in the Falklands (1852), while transporting guano, with no casualties. He is mentioned as 'Captain Campbell' and 'Captain D. Campbell'.

The 1861 census record is weird. Each member of the household is recorded as a single entry. I see that M... (Marie) Campbell, is listed under 'members of family absent'.

I think I have found Lillias Campbell (Lillie) in the 1871 Census, living in the household of the Falconer family.

https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M431-NV2?lang=en

Her sister Maria Catherine Elizabeth was living with Lillias Henniker, so it looks liker their mother Marie had died or left the family. No sign of the youngest sister, Emma.
