Diary summary week ending 20th April 2025
« on: Monday 14 April 25 10:05 BST (UK) »
If no one has started the new diary ,here goes .

A lovely sunny morning here but such a cold wind .
Son off to head office tomorrow so he will not be here for his 66 th birthday .
Eldest son will be 68 in June ,daughter will be 58 in November.

How the years have flown!

Well my funny finger has not gone dead and white for a few days now, so what it was I don’t know.

Watched “ The Piano “ last night, such talented very young people, children,
amazing .

Awaiting Tesco delivery ,between 9and 10.
Fridge all ready.

Flash Harry and Kyra , mummy and daddy here on Wednesday ,
I have only got them small eggs ,they get so many, but a book teaching how to draw for F,H and a shiny sticker book for Kyra and a book about how to help hedgehogs ,they get quite a few in their garden.

Hope all those with health problems are feeling better and anyone lonely too, that they get some contact with people which is really important for our well being .

There is a long saga with the mobility scooter ,can’t remember if I have said a tyre cane off it?
Well a battle now with Quingo ,I have been billed but insurance has paid when I think it ought to have been Quingo .
It has sat doing nothing in my son’s house whilst shed, ramps  etc sorted .
It has not been used for even one hour ,it significantly failed the kerb test losing a tyre! So my trust in it is nil.
Had my son not been with me I really would have been in a mess , I can’t now walk up our road it is too steep and we were at the bottom !
I did it in very short lengths, pausing every few minutes whilst son had the scooter
going very slowly pulling it to the left so the wheel did not get damaged .

I asked would they accept it back well maybe but a loss of at  least £1,000.
Even if I buy a simpler model from them , so I will try to sell it myself , and go elsewhere for one.
Enough of that.

Anyone going away for Easter ?, hope it is good weather for you.
Also that those unwell feel better and those alone have some company ,.
lCheerio folks ,look after yourselves.
Viktoria.

Good morning  Viktoria and all
Oh dear, so sorry to hear your mobility scooter has let you down, surely it is under guarantee,  take a big burly male friend with you to the shop to complain  you are now housebound  and you need to get out for your own peace of mind , such a shame you have lost your confidence but I am sure once sorted you will be fine, why should you lose such a large amount  of money?

Looks a beautiful morning  so far after rain yesterday but still chilly, doesn't look so good later in the week.

At last my  twin brother is on the list for a knee replacement,  been a long saga due to other health problems, but things will only get better once the op is over and done with,  shame he lIves so far away .

School holidays but it is so peaceful, did hear the local under cover shopping centre  was rammed with children this week

Grandson now in the Gold Coast surfing, he is a bit of a loner which is a real shame, had hoped it would bring him out a bit, he is such a lovely  lad, he is due home in May.

Take care

I'm sorry to hear that you are having so much trouble with your scooter.  It's too bad of the company to be so unhelpful.  They need to be confronted with a burly male, as LM suggested, though I'm sure you are strong enough to deal with them, but they do seem to be taking advantage of you and that's not good enough, is it?
Keep on trying.  You'll soon be queen of the road. ;)

Viktoria I’m sure your Quingo must have been faulty from the start, if so you should be entitled to a full refund. Get your son to Google the WHICH website there is loads of information about recovering money for faulty goods.

Not all Quingo reviews are good, some people have complained about parts falling off among other complaints. Don’t just take their refusal laying down.

Dragged some summery skirts out from their winter snooze, probably send some to charity shop.... when washed again and pressed. Old habits die hard, my Mum used to do that before she even sent things to the church jumble sale, even if they'd been in wardrobe.
Bright today, breezy, should be out gardening but....

I am at the moment awaiting a return call re them accepting it back as no real damage done as far as I can see, but the tyre came off  mounting a low kerb ,exactly what it is suppose to deal with  better than other makes!
It even still has the protective covering where your feet go !
When I said I would not ever use it on the road they ought to at least have suggested pavement only models as alternatives.

There are some good reviews but CareCo do as well. They have a showroom in Warrington ,not a million miles away .

Hope your grandson has a wonderful time Louisa,
, and your brother’s knee op goes well.

Hope all are alright, well as alright as can be.
We do “soldier on “ don’t we!
Thanks for your wishes, it will get sorted .
Cheerio.Viktoria.

Thanks for starting a new diary Viktoria, unfortunately it's been tagged on the end of the previous week's diary. I've asked if the moderators can move it.

Hope you get the scooter sorted  :)
