Well what a change in the weather, cold, grey and wet!

Flash Harry and co here tomorrow ,but son down at Head Office so he will miss them ,has left presents though. He will be 66- on 16 th, most of his life spent away
from home,Uni,two degrees, and going all over the place as his job demanded.

Thanks for putting my diary start in the right place.
Roobarb and Louisa Maud .
Not much news really except Quingo are sending another more suitable model, to see if I am happy with that ,no mention of terms yet but probably both sons will be here and my daughter has all the details and selling high powered motorcycles she knows the rules re safety and suitability ,refuses to sell if she is not sure ,a life could be ruined or lost .
Thanks for your kind interest in this saga,I have gone  on about it a lot but it was expensive  plus shed and gate widening , insurance etc.

Some of you do have challenging conditions to cope with ,I am full of admiration and it makes me talk to myself and give myself s good “ talking to” !

My tulips are all open, a mixed bag fron Tesco, yellow, deep magenta, white ,pink .mauve .orange!
Two muscari only, and nice mixed daffs and narcissi not one Snowdrop!!,
They are better in the green than bulbs.
Well something calls, not sure what, but there are plenty of things to do.
Cheerio.Look after yourselves and thanks f or all your news.
Viktoria.

Cold and rainy here today.  The garden will be glad of the rain, so will my husband who has had to do a lot of lifting of heavy watering cans for all his pots and seedlings and has a painful shoulder, which physio has been unable to improve.  There are trays of veg seedlings all over the house, so I will be glad when they are big enough to go outside or be pricked out.  Potatoes have been planted now and tomato seedlings are springing up nicely.  There will be beans of some kind and some other veg, and we always seem to get a good crop of strawberries.  The garden is too small to grow very much, but it is all welcome when it's ready to pick.

It's our birthday week - Monday for my husband and (Good) Friday for me, so our daughter is throwing a birthday lunch for us all.  I'll be making some Easter nests for dessert, but can't get over how few mini eggs there are nowadays in C....'s packets.  We don't know what to ask for as presents.  At our age we really have everything we need, so it will be clothes or shoes for us, though my daughter is booking a manicure for me.  I'm rather ashamed of my work worn hands and short nails, so I don't know what the manicurist will make of them.  There's be no stick on nails or fancy coloured nails, of that I'm sure!

Viktoria
I'm really hoping that you will very soon get a suitable vehicle and will soon be driving through that cemetery!  Keep us up to date on this saga, please.

Happy Easter, everyone! :)

If it takes much longer it will be used to take me down there!

I can’t find out how much the Quingo Ultra costs , that is the new one they are bringing to replace the VITESSE 2 , which is £5,800 . I can’t seem to find out if VAT was charged or not ,I ought to be exempt .

It will work out but it is a long time now.

How lovely to have home grown produce, nothing tastes like it.

Hope you enjoy your Birthday get together Gilig.

Tesco order coming later about nine O’Clock ,
Flash  Harry ,Kyra and my grandson and their mummy coming tomorrow.
Lunch then they are back at school I think next week not like here when Easter is in the middle of the two weeks holiday.

Turned out very dull and cool.
Just having a cuppa, stripped son’s bed and done son’s bedroom and bedding washing , hope I can hang it out tomorrow.

Nice to read your news , just ordinary day to day things but we are lucky life is like that are’ nt  we.

To quote Norah Batty:-“ There’s nowt wrong with ordinary, you know where you are with ordinary!”

Look after yourselves . Viktoria

I think the reason the children are  going back to school on the Tuesday after BH   Monday is as follows

Easter is governed by the moon I am told, so it is later this year, I also think school terms are generally 6 weeks,  heaven forbid they have a 7 week term!!, would have made it so much easier for a lot of people,  including me, we let the church hall to a pre school, our fayre in on 26th, children return the Tuesday before,  so we can't get into the hall till 3.30 on  the day before  which makes it very late setting up the tables, Christmas and July bazaar  the pre school is closed  and we can spend the day before.

Gillg and your husband, enjoy your  birthdays, you are right, at our ages we don't need or want much, my daughter has real problems buying  us a present and resorts to cash, still unspent from last Christmas but it tucked away ready for our  spending spree.

Viktoria  what a saga, I hope it is sorted soon

Hope you have a lovely day on Friday Gillg.  :) I've actually planted some seeds in trays outside, just some lettuce and flower seeds that I'm not too worried if they don't germinate. My back garden is south facing and the geraniums in pots that I put near the house for the winter seem to have survived well. In fact one of them was flowering a few weeks ago!

The school holidays do seem to differ between the North and South, the children here are on holiday this week and next week, the same as where Viktoria lives. I often watch This Morning (or bits of it) and can tell when the school holidays are in London by the change of presenters during the holidays.

We had a little rain overnight and this morning, much needed by the garden which has been bone dry.  I'm just grateful for the wonderful spring weather we've had before that.

To be honest I don't think you need a complicated machine, just a sturdy one that does the job and is safe.

Enjoy the little ones

Have lovely birthdays, GillG & OH. As the other week we had OH's birthday, and our Golden Wedding, we know how often events seem to happen at once! My parents had the same  traffic jam - their wedding anniversary, Mum's and my own birthday all together. It's so hard to think of what you want for a pressie when people ask - we most enjoyed flowers for our anniversary, 'cos I never buy them for myself, and OH never gets them for me!
Hope all works out well with your mobility scooter seeking, Viktoria, surely a complete refund and a fresh start with another make would be better? It sounds as if under the "Sale of Goods" legislation then the firm should be wholly liable. Good luck.
