Jones, Carmarthenshire
« on: Tuesday 01 July 25 03:09 BST (UK) »
This is probably a long shot request but here goes.
I'm looking for the mother of David Stanley Jones b.1891. he has an older brother John b.1884 and older sister Annie b.1887
I know his mother is called Mary Jones as I have David Stanley's birth certificate.
Mary's husband was also called David but I can't find a marriage certificate for this marriage. Husband David married again in 1893. He married Phoebe Howell and was listed as a widower. I can't find a death certificate for Mary.
I hope that all makes sense and sorry for the long request
Thank you

1901 is David Stanley as Stanley Jones 1892 Carmarthen?

1891 is David snr born c 1859 Llanfihangel-Rhos-y-Carn and Mary born c 1855 same place?
Children John/Annie with them.

F/S.Org has several marriages 1881-1885 in Wales including this;
9 April 1883 Caernarfonshire David Jones to Mary Jones

Wales is not my area of expertise but thought I would try and this query had had no answers.

Hopefully someone can help you more.

Trish :)

You can see St Davids Church just off Picton Court on map. So very likely correct Mary & daughter Annie.

Possible 1881 for David.

Civil parish   Carmarthen St Peter
Piece   5398
Folio   84
Page number   8

David Jones, age   21, born   Llanfihangel Rhosycorn, Carmarthenshire
Street Address   Asylum Road Trevaughan Fawr
Occupation   Farm Servant (Indoor)
Registration District   Carmarthen

https://www.genuki.org.uk/big/wal/CMN/LlanfihangelRhos-y-Corn

Long shot but further up on same page is a Mary Jones age 26 born Llanfair, Cardiganshire, working at next farm up.  If this is them, it would narrow marriage timeframe with first son born, and likely the registration would be Carmarthen. There are possibles in 1882 and 1883
