1841/1851 Census search forms
« on: Saturday 05 July 25 13:48 BST (UK) »
Dear all,

I’m still trying to find out more about Samuel Russell Blair who lived in the Grange of Ballyrobert between 1820-1860. I found his wife and children, but haven’t been able to find  information about his birth/birthdate/birthplace or parents. I found a “Blair” hit in the online CENSUS SEARCH FORMS 1841/1851 in the national archive of Ireland that lived in Grange if Ballyrobert. However if I look at it it is a record containing names, but not the form itself. Are these forms still available or are they lost in the fire? The reference in the record is  cen/s/1/417, does anyone have a clue how to find an image of that record? Thanks!

This is the list you found

Unlike most of the results in this data set, this appears to be just a list of forms, the search form itself may be with PRONI.

Thanks so much for that sharp observation, that’s exactly what I was hoping!

As far as I know they’re not available online at PRONI and only viewable in Belfast. If anyone reading this knows whether these might be accessible through one of the paid genealogy services (like MyHeritage, FindMyPast or others), I’d love to hear!
