Hi,

I wonder can anyone please help identify the regiment that my granfather served in. I don't have a date for this photo but he was born 1886.

bev,hes in the army service corps,mack
military history,mainly ww1,manchester pals battalions,tyneside irish +tyneside scottish brigades,leeds,liverpool,accrington,birmingham,hull,barnsley,swansea and salford pals.

I don't know anything about the military. So can someone point me in the right direction to get a bit of an overview about the army service corps

http://www.1914-1918.net/asc.htm - here's a good start.  If you search for "Army Service Corps" on google you'll find lots of stuff.

Also, if you look at www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/documentsonline, you can search for WWI medal cards.
