Crimean war
« on: Friday 16 September 05 23:30 BST (UK) »
Does anybody know where I can find information on-line giving names of the people that went over to help with nursing? We have Nightingales in our tree (no pun intended  ;) ) and family folklore says that somebody went over as a nurse to help in the Crimean war. I don't believe it was "the Florence" but possibly a not so "well to do" relative most likely.

Hi Gazza

The Nurses Register for the Crimean period is held at the Florence Nightingale Museum, St Thomas's Hospital, London.
