Marrige look up

has anyone any records of parish records Ditcheat Somerset.I am looking for marriage records of Thomas Bond born 1816 and Elizabeth Bond ( maiden name unknown) born 1823.their first child may have been Hellen born 1841

As they will have married after 1837 you can search the partial GRO index which is still being transcribed and by no means finished yet at http://www.freebmd.org.uk/ for free.

Hi Steve,

Thomas BOND born in Dicheat around 1816 in the 1851 & 1861 census records and his wife's name is Emily - in line with the parish record that Alli found and this marriage on free BMD:

December Quarter 1841
BOND, Thomas. Shepton Mallet. Voulme 10 Page 605
HIGGINS, Emily Ann. Shepton Mallet. Voulme 10 Page 605

However I have just found a Thomas BONA (Although the A in BONA is written lower case so possibly could be a "d" with a short tail!) in the 1851 Census, also born in Ditcheat about 1816 and his wife's name is Elizabeth!

Going back to FreeBMD I couldn't find a marriage for Thomas BONA found the following:

Marriages December Quarter 1842
BOND, Thomas, Wincanton, Vol 10 Page 777
FRANCIS, Elisabeth,  Wincanton, Vol 10 Page 777

Wincanton is about 10 miles South East of Ditcheat.  Could be a possibility?

thanks very much its been a great help. I think the Bonds I am looking for are down as Bono or Bona and Thomas wife was named Elizabeth, she may have come from Ansford Somerset? born in 1823. This is as far as I can get regarding their marrage records.
