how about St George's near Peterston Super Ely on the river Ely, Vale of glamorgan. You'll find on streetmap.co.uk etc.

i think I may have found Cecilia and her family in Cardiff on the 1861 census. i have to dash now but if you send me a pm with your email I can send you copy of census pages.

Her birth is given as St John The Baptist (?) but mother is from St Georges.

Keith.

Actually not really sure about this now. This Cecelia is born in Cardiff, unless transcription error.

Enumerator's route:

"The whole of the parishes of St Nicholas, St Georges and Michaelston Super Ely.
St Nicholas including St Nicholas Village, Cottrell House, Cottrell Lodge, Lanyfai?, Pwllymiw?, Vianshill, Tinkinswood, etc
St Georges including St Georges Village, Drope, Coedrigland, Coedrigland Lodge, Tumble and the Houses lying north of St Lythans Down.
Michaelston Super Ely including Dusty Forge, Great House and Green House Farms."

Just east of Cardiff, 6 miles from Cowbridge. Very close to the Welsh Folk Museum at St Fagans.
