« on: Friday 23 September 05 20:16 BST (UK) »
Hi, I have a relative reputedly kicked to death at the Royal Mews around the early 1900's.Any ideas where i might find some info :workers at the Mews, coroners reports etc.His name was Sinnock. Also I'm not totally sure where the Mews were based.
         Many thanks

The Royal Mews were and still are located in Buckingham Palace Road a short distance from Buckingham Palace.

For history etc go to:

This page: http://www.royalcollection.org.uk/default.asp?action=article&ID=31 has a small map showing the location.

Finally, finally I have found proof that it was F J Sinnock, member of the Life Guards  who was indeed kicked on the knee by a horse and temporarily paralysed , thankfully he was nt killed and went on to gain the MM. Found a piece in the papers and WW1 injury record.
Took a long long time to finally prove this family story had some truth behind it, so it proves , always keep looking, new records turn up all the time.
