Hi everyone,

I am trying to obtain information on John Alliston born 1823 (approx) South Ockendon, Essex. So the Tasmanian archives tell us he was in the Army in the 45th Regiment and was tried for desertion and doing away with his weapon, on 1/11/1845 at Int Natal Napier (this information on his convict record). He was transported to Tasmania in 1845 and arrived 18/5/1846. His parents were William Alliston born approx 1798 and Mary Alliston nee Bruty. He was transported on the Mona. I would appreciate any help with this.
