catherine gillick help with husband

 im stuck are their any kind people out there who can help, im trying to trace the husband of g.g.grandmother catherine mary gillick (nee mumery) born in preston kent in 1847who in the 1881 census was residing at 40 wynne st holyhead with her daughter mary .c gillick aged  11, and her father stephen mumery aged 68 .in the census is shows catherine as been married ive tried all sorts to discover who the husband is but apart from the surname gillick ,it has been mentioned that he was with the coast guards . so if any one can help or guide me it would be appreciated

Sorry there is no age just the marriage record.

I have had a quick look for him on ancestry but without knowing where he was born and when its abit like a needle in a haystack at the mo..... but i will have another look

i see what you mean , im new to all of this and at times i find it a mine field as were to look and what im looking at, but at the moment its not the case of my family originating on anglesey it now seems to  comes from ireland (gillick) ? and from kent with mumery but im a dogged person  and will carry on until i can go no further , or my wife takes away my computer ???

A long shot, I know, but the 1881 census lists a William Gillock, Able Seaman, b. c1845, Ireland at the Sailors' Home, Canning Place, Liverpool.  The record says "unmarried", but men away from home weren't always recorded correctly.

But with the info Jeannette found, you can order the wedding certificate, which will tell you how old William was, and his father's name and occupation.

thanks for your input , will be putting in for a copy of the certificate
first thing in the morning ... as for your long shot you never know . sometimes they do spell names wrong  as i have just found out on
a coastguards web site  they had catherine s father as munnings not mumery, thanks again

 eventually got round to getting william gillicks marriage cert on it it gives his age as 25 (born around 1844)  gives his occupation as seaman in hms donegal  and his fathers name as john , occupation as a bricklayer , not a great deal of info , still dont know where he was born , but will keep trying
