I just found your thread which I see is an old one and hasn't been posted on for some time. I don't know if you still come on here but I was wondering about your connection to the Burkes in your query.

The Burkes are my ancestors -
Robert Burke (b1846) was my grandmothers grandfather - his son, my Grandmas father, was John Burke (b1870)

John (b1870) married Beatrice Elizabeth Downes (b1871 in Shropshire) in 1890
My Grandma Beatrice Burke was born in 1891
