Hi SuePip:
Here is what I think I know, William John and James Daniel THompson Barritt (either brothers or cousins) left for Bermuda after 1865.  Their parents names were Robert Barritt and Anne Walne or Warne (NOT SURE OF THE SPELLING) They were married on 1 December 1806.  Robert died in Syleham on 7 March 1865, buried in St Margaret's church yard.  I believe Anne is also buried there but I do not have any proof.

Dear SuePip:
Thank you so much for your quick response.  THis looks like our family I have been searching for.  Is there any way I can find out when William and James departed for Bermuda.  I believe is was around 1839.  Is there any shipping lists or such that would let me know?
THanks Gail :) :) :)

Hallo, Gail

re James Daniel Thompson Barritt and William John Barritt.

I have found the following on IGI:

William Barrett b 29.02.1824, bapt 28/03/1824 Syleham, parents Robert Barrett and Ann Warn

James Barritt b 25/11/1825, bapt 28/05/1826 Syleham, parents Robert Barritt and Anne WALNE

On the 1861 census I looked up Barritt (and alternatives) born in Syleham and found the following:

Hill Farm, Bruisyard, Norwich, Norfolk (RG9/1177 fol 35 p4)
George BARRETT, servant, 15, Horseman, Syleham

cottage, Syleham, Suffolk (RG9/1151 fol 86 p13)
Richard Barrett, head, 52, Agricultural labourer, Syleham
Jane Barrett, wife, 47, Hoxne, Suffolk
Sarah A Barrett, daughter, 8, Syleham
Jane Barrett, daughter, 4, Syleham
Robert Barrett, head, widower, 81, Agricultural labourer & parish clerk, Redenhall Norfolk

Church Road, Gorleston, Hopton, Suffolk (RG9/1189  fol 4 p2)
Robert Barrett, head, widower, 46, Agricultural labourer, Syleham
Mary Ann Denton, daughter-in-law, 28, Housekeeper, Hopton, Suffolk
William Barrett, 13, Lound, Suffolk
George Barrett, 12, Lound, Suffolk
Ellen Barrett, 10, Hopton, Suffolk

All the best
