William Cheakley - Chequers High Wiend
« on: Monday 17 October 05 17:44 BST (UK) »
William Cheakley had  the Chequers Inn, High Wiend, Appleby in 1829 which was next to the Golden Ball.  Neither he nor his family were in Appleby at the 1841 Census & may have moved to Skipton.
I believe the Golden Ball holds a book which gives details of Chequers Inn & is in one of the bars on a shelf.  Could someone give me details of the book & whether William Cheakley is mentioned in it?
