Anthony,

Here are some websites that might be useful.

Ontario Cemetery Finding Aid:
http://www.islandnet.com/ocfa/homepage.html

Belleville is in Hastings County.

Hastings County GenWeb:
http://www.rootsweb.com/~onhastin/

The local library might have old city directories, obituaries, cemetery and funeral home records.  You could email via their "Ask a Librarian".
Belleville Public Library:
http://www.bellevillelibrary.com/

Ontario GenWeb:
http://www.geneofun.on.ca/ongenweb/

I did a search and there were 38 listings for people with the surname Graham now living in Belleville, Ontario.  You could send an old-fashioned letter to them all, just in case:
http://www.geneofun.on.ca/ongenweb/

Is Micheil's name pronounced Michael or Mitchell?

Good luck!

Hi Anthony,

If they arrived in 28/29 they should be in this database http://www.collectionscanada.ca/archivianet/020118_e.html

It is an index to the passenger records for 1925-1935.  If you find them in the index, you can order the entire record, which will give you more details about them - sometimes including how much money they brought with them, the name and address of an employer, friend, or relative in Canada as a contact, and other details.

You can either order the microfilm reel through interlibrary loan and look for the record yourself, or order photocopies from the Archives for a reasonable fee.

I think you will have to try a few spelling variants to find Micheil.  (There is only one Michael Graham in the database - could be him.)

Happy hunting!

Martha

Anthony,

Have you written to the Belleville library?  It might be worth a try.

Thank you for your kind offer of help!  I'll PM my info to you.

 Hello Anthony,

My name is Aaren and my grandfather was Joseph Graham. He was born in Belfast in 1908. I was told he moved to Alberta, Canada in his late teens where he met my grandmother. They had 3 girls & 3 boys. Years later he moved to British Columbia. He was a painter by trade. I believe he passed away in the mid 1970's in North Vancouver, British Columbia.

I'm fairly certain his mother & father's names were Mary (McCabe) & John.

I don't have any information relating to Michael.

I hope this information is of help to you.

Sincerely,

Aaren
