     3.Helen Carnegie TRAILL (b.Apr 1859 Menmuir d. Oct 1923 Edinburgh City) Married: James Robert MOLLISON (b.1867 d.1911 Edinburgh City) Helen & James had 2 children that I know of.

     4.Jane A TRAILL (b.Abt 1845) Married: John LAURANCE on 16 Jun 1871(b.Abt 1843) Jane & John had 1 son born in Ontario, Canada

     5.John TRAILL (b. Brechin d.Aft 1905) Married: Jessie KIRK
John & Jessie had 5 children all born in India, which included 2 sets of twin girls.

Hi   I know it is a 2005 since made your posting.  I was going through the postings and  I noticed the name Traill.  I have a Elizabeth Traill b 1823 at Westhaven, Panbride, Carnoustie.  She died 1881 at Westhaven, Carnoustie.  Her Father was Robert? Traill and Mother a Margaret Peter.

Their son married a Barbara Anderson Brand who is a distant relation of mine.

After buying a book of Monumental Inscriptions of Panbride Kirkyard, thereis mentioned a Rev Robert Trail (son of William Trail of Borthwick and grandson of the Rev Robert Trail of Greyfriars Edinburgh)
Minister of Panbride 1717 till 1762 and of Robert his son Minister of Panbride 1763-1798.

This may be of no help to you but just thought I would make posting.

I have an Elizabeth Traill born  about1799 married
a Hugh Anderson who was born about 1796 at Rosehill Ismadie, Marykirk
she died 13 Aug 1846 at Muirside of Kinnell and buried their.
Hugh died prior to 1851 census
They had 6 children that i know about.
Margaret, James,Helen, Jannet, George,Hugh.

I have a Traill family as part of my tree.  James Steele married Helen Slight in Inveresk and Musselburgh, and they had a son named Adam who married an Elizabeth Traill from one of the Islands.  Her sister was Charlotte Osman Traill
their mother was Charlotte Laird whilst their father was John or James Traill
