Just go to Google and type in "Rev. Father Rossall" and that should lead you onto the thread that covers catholic orphans sent from Liverpool to Canada in the 1890's. good luck...Jim

Hi Jacques,

I've just seen this thread.  Do you have this possible for John Howard and family from 1851?  HO107 2225/634 Page 29, 22 Edward Street, Ancoats, Manchester:

John Howard, Head, Mar, 41, Warper born Manchester
Eliza Howard, Wife, Mar, 41 born Manchester
Josiah Howard, Son, 15, School Boy born Manchester
James Howard, Son, 10, School Boy born Salford Lancashire
Samuel Howard, Son, 6 born Manchester

The ages aren't quite right, but still worth looking at.

Hello Jean

nice to meet another friend on Rootschat!

Thanks for the message. I will check it with the one I found, in Manchester, Ancoats HO107/2225 but 455 page 36
John Howard, Head, 30
Mary Ann wife, 30??
Josiah, son,  18
Eliza, daughter,  13
James,son,  11
John,son,  8
The age of James would be correct in this case; he would have 2 brothers and one sister; everybody born in Manchester; I wonder what is the surname of his wife Mary Ann?

thanks again for your help.
regards

jacques
