          Thank -you so very much for this opportunity, and for your time & efforts to help. I would *greatly* appreciate a look-up for

Bartin (Barton) JOHNSON (johnston, Jonson etc.) born in Va about 1781.

I have him in the 1830 census of Ohio
Springfield Township Muskingum Co Ohi

Johnston, Barton- 1M under 5, 2M 15-20 1M 20-30  1M 50-60 /2 F under 5  1F 5-10  1F 30-40

and in 1840

I would love to find him in the 1850 census along with any possible birth/ marriage information. Barton's son Archibald was born May26 1804 (?) and he died in Point Pleasant Twp Hardin Co. Iowa on 28 Feb 1861. Barton has definately been a brick wall for years now.

This is what I've found in the <www.usgenweb.com> Iowa, Hardin County website.  Barton seems to be living with Archibald in the 1856 State Census of Iowa, however he is not with Archibald in the 1860 US Census.---Genealiza

Ivorie, I was just looking at the first post I sent and wanted to tell you that the second group of numbers refer to the years that person has been in the state.  So, Barton moves to Iowa about 1851 and should still be found on the 1850 census, possibly in Illinois.-----Genealiza
