Family Lister...Birstall/Gomersal

Can anyone help,please?
My ggrandfather was George Lister born 1833,Birstall.He married Esther Shaw in 1864.His father,according to his marriage certificate was also named George.
I am trying to find other Lister ancestors back from my ggrandfather.
All information will be greatly appreciated.

Do you have the 1861 census yet? I remember one census where he said he was born Hightown. Could this be him?

The IGI has a marriage:

GEORGE LISTER- MARY ANN WATERHOUSE 
24 AUG 1829   Birstall, Yorkshire

but you'd need to confirm Mary Ann's maiden name by purchasing a birth cert for one of the children born after the start of civil registration.

My ggrandfather was George Lister born1833 in Birstall and married in Kendal to Esther Shaw.
I am tryng to find his father and so on back in time.
I have been to your society and have got quite a lot of birth info for the Listers but did not have time to look up marriages.
