Looking at the Surname list on here for Parr, there is a gentleman(biglou) from Australia researching  Parr from Notts.

He has not been very active regarding postings but might be worth PM with link

Birth: according to enrolment form he was aged 19 years and 3 months in June 1917.
Given as a natural born British subject.

To help this good cause - details from her death cert

Four chn
Alice May  67years
Ada Joyce  65 years
Charles Alfred, deceased
John  55 years

Died at Bush Nursing Hospital, Mornington.  Certified by A[lice] M[ay] CLARK 8 Murray Street, Elsternwick.  I have posted all the details as Alice was 67 in 1961 and being 47 years ago, she would be deceased.
