My grandad Martin Curran was born around 1862 in Drumphea, near myshall county carlow, his father and mother were francis curran and sarah doyle. If this sounds familiar to you, maybe we can share info, or i can be of help?
I look forward to hearing from you.

hi diarmuid
thanks for the look up, that man martin curran on the griffiths valuation of the 1850's was my GGgrandfather.
What I am looking for is someone who shares maybe some local match with me, so maybe i can help them or vice versa.
I think this website is marvelous, and I have got much help already from the very enthusiastic contributors, but have also added my knowledge too.
It is a great thing for me if i can help too.
Once again, thank you for the look up.
all the best
