Whitby Gazette Look up's
« on: Monday 11 October 10 17:18 BST (UK) »
Hi,     I wonder if anyone living in the Whitby area would be able to look at the "Whitby Gazette" archives for 4 or 5 events, 1900 - 1927 period, as I am living in Australia I do not have any chance to access it.  Many thanks,    Gerry.

Hi again,    Just to add to my initial post, I am researching Thomas Cutter b 1874 Sunderland died Whitby 29 Dec 1944, he was a policeman Whitby/Ruswarp 1st January 1900 - July 1927, after which he was Parish Clerk for Whitby, I hope some events in his life will be in the "Whitby Gazette" archives, I have approximate dates for a few interesting events,if anyone would like to contact me.
Best wishes from Western Australia.    Gerry.

Hi  Gerry

If you contact me I am sure that I can help.  I recently researched this tree for a descendant of Thomas Cutter.  She still lives in Whitby, her mother was Thomas Cutter's daughter.

Hi Gerry,

It was quite by accident that I found Roots chat yesterday, I was looking for Whitby Gazette as I subscribe to it and had not received one for 2 weeks, so you really are lucky.

the lady I know used to work for my father in Whitby so if I don't know anything I can check with her.  If you want to contact me without going through Roots chat e mail: Annd1944@aol.com   that might be easier.

Hope to hear soon
