I am looking for George Sutherland, born clyne or lairg sutherland c 1808  who married Catherine Matheson,  in Brora in 1833. they lived in the suburb of clyne called "the Doll" where all their chnwere born. George's father may have been alexander sutherland & his mother may have been Jane cooper - i'm not sure of this though.

george was a carpenter as was his son alexander sutherland born early 1830's in the Doll.
alexander, george & catherine's son married isabella sutherland in australia c 1856 don't know if  alexander & iasbella were related  as sutherland's before their marriage. (isabella sutherland was the daughter of william sutherland & elizabeth ross who came to australia in early 1850's. Elizabeth died at sea on the trip to australia aboard the  ship the Black eagle.)

catherine's maiden name was matheson - her father was john matheson mother unk. it is thought that catherine had a sister named janett matheson.
george & his family came to australia in 1852.
