Phoey...no answer yet.... :P :-\ :'(   The new owner should be most pleased to have this original...and free of charge...when people like me have paid for copies of receipts and even writings because they are "owned/" by someone who now has "copyright"  :P :P :P I got a lousy scan of an old recept...what a joke....but then I was a big old sucker, wasn't I?  ;)  J.J.

Sorry J.J. haven't been on much today.

I'm sorting through a pile of hmmmm ;D I better not say...it's a rude word. Where did I get all this stuff from :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P and why? I've decided to go back and retrace everything I have to see if something I saw before makes sense now. Am I making sense? That's how I found the card. At one point I considered tracing the family ...when I had nothing else to do :o :o :o

I totally understand how you feel because I've been there done that ;D Each time I pay for something stupid I feel ripped off. But, that's the risk I guess.

Hopefully someone wants the card. If they don't that's OK because it has a home with me ;D

To see if the Blaney differences could be put to bed ( not that it helps this request....but the other posting will see it is not the same Blaney...Guess it was a popular name, after all)

This Blaney may have also originated in Ireland, as there is this extracted file now on the IGI:
Ellen Cherry Christened Feb. 18th, 1835 in Modreeny, Tipperary, Ire
Parents Blain Cherry & Catherine

Plus a submission  for a Sarah Cherry
Birth Dec. 14th, 1840, Quebec
Died Oct. 8th, 1914   Brantford, Ont.
Burial Mount Hope Cemetary, Brantford, Ont.
Parents Blaney Cherry & Catharine Green

John had stated at the wedding, that he was from Fitzroy Quebec now living in Preston...so this could be the right parents for him....J.J.

This is a very old post but I wanted the Rootschatters who participated in this search to know that I have finally found a home for the wedding invitation. So after 46 years it will be leaving my care :)

The person I am sending it to is a Cherry descendent so I'm happy with that. It should be with the family and not with me.
