Hellings - 3 brothers but no baptisms found, 1750s
« on: Wednesday 02 April 14 10:27 BST (UK) »
I have established (from the will of Richard listed below) that there were 3 Hellings brothers but I have had absolutely no luck finding any baptisms or who their parents were  ???

Richard Hellings (about 1757-1835) lived and died in Stanstead Abbots / Ware Hertfordshire but was married in at St Augustine, Watling Street 1787 when he is said to be of the parish of St Faith (I think this is the old parish "St Faith under St Paul’s" later amalgamated with St Augustine)

James Hellings (about 1751-1834) a pork butcher who lived and died in Blackfriars,

Thomas Hellings (about 1759-1833) a shop keeper who lived and died in Mile End

All the birth years are based on ages in burial registers.  Thomas was buried at a Wesleyan church so they could be hiding in a lost non-conformist baptism list (?) but all other records I have are CofE of course.

Any ideas or steers most welcome.
