Ayr Advertiser Archives 1803-1835 question
« on: Friday 07 November 14 09:12 GMT (UK) »
Hi

I know it is only a couple of quid to search but would like to know if any BMD from the village of Straiton would be recorded or unlikely?

Thanks

Hi Tom

What surnames are you looking for? I would have thought if they were to show up on the Ayr Advertiser for the period you are looking at, they are likely to show in the Old Parish Registers hopefully.

I can see the reference to the £2 charge for 7 days access to the BMD archives on the Ayr Advertiser. No reason why Straiton would not be included really is there. Straiton falls under the Maybole Parish for records.

Have you seen this site? www.maybole.org/history/index.htm
