I have William CARR m 1789 Mary Bilton in Pocklington.
They had Richard b 18 Oct 1807, bap 14 Oct 1807
John b 24 Jan 1805, bap 25 Jan 1805
Mary b 3 Dec 1809, bap 6 Dec 1809 (this is all from Family Search)
But there must be another William Carr and Mary Bilton because I can't see them waiting 16 years for their first child, and I can't find any others.
I then have Richard m 26 Oct 1829 Ann Glaisby
John m 7 Mar 1836 Mary Cook
Mary m 22 Feb 1830 William Brigham
Richard and Ann have a daughter Mary Ann Carr bap 10 Mar 1830
John and Mary have Martha bap 12 May 1844, and Mary bap 27 Mar 1846
Mary and William Brigham have Harriot bap 18 Jul 183; Elizabeth bap 18 Oct 1832; Thomas bap 22 Mar 1835; and Henry bap 23 Apr 1838.
I also have William Carr m 21 Dec 1812 Martha Lumb; and their child John Carr bap 22 Jan 1814.
All above in Pocklington. This William is brother to my Thirza Carr who m 5 May 1812 Thomas Gell (these are my gt gt grandparents) and there is another sibling Hannah m 23 Oct 1808 John Richardson.
These all seem to fit, though William Carr and Mary Bilton seem to be a generation 'out' and I can't find births for either. Gaps in records? And do gaps in records explain why a few of the dates seem a bit dodgy.
Any advice would be great.
Regards
Jan
