Choose a map to view here http://www.old-maps.co.uk/maps.html?coords=496270,370810

Perhaps you didn't mean Lincoln.  :-\

Hi,
Thanks for that Geoff-E.
Yes it is Lincoln. What I am looking for is a detailed map showing the street names.
Regards
Bob.

This site:
http://www.heritageconnectlincoln.com/character-area/swanpool-and-skewbridge/38/overview
says it is predominately pasture and drained flood plain?

If you use Google Maps, look for Boultham Park Road - Skewbridge appears to be to the east of that road?
Garrad (Suffolk, Essex, Somerset), Crocker (Somerset), Vanstone (Devon, Jersey), Sims (Wiltshire), Bridger (Kent)

No  :-\

It was just a bridge where a railway crossed a drain at an angle.  If you wish to relate it to Boultham Park Rd, north or NNW would be the appropriate bearing.

There were only half a dozen streets remotely near it, and they were quarter of a mile away.  The names are best seen by going to http://www.old-maps.co.uk/maps.html?coords=496470,370610 and looking at the 1932 1:2500 map
