More help please
« on: Thursday 06 January 11 15:47 GMT (UK) »
I promise this is the last time I ask for help for this family. Craig/Hendry

I have a Robert Hendry who m.Marion Wilson, 1874, Hamilton. The last I have of Robert is on the 1881 census. On the 1891 and 1901 Marion is listed as widow. I found their son Robert,28, who died Oct 28 1901. Cannot find Robert Sr anywhere, not on any census after 1881, or a death.

Robert was b abt 1835 Hamilton.  35 when he married to Marion and 46 on the 1881 census. His mothers maiden name was Craig.

Could some kind soul have a look for his death. I just don`t seem to be ble to find it.

Thanks so much.

Mary

Hi again Sancti.

No, actually it does not.

It states Robert Wilson or Hendry, 23, illigitimate. Then, mother, Marion Wilson, subsquentialy married to Robert Hendry, coal pit miner.

Bet he did a flit , though she is calling herself a widow on the census.

No, have looked for marriages after 1901 but nada. Robert Jr. was single.
There was Isabella, Walter and James living at home in 1901.

Strange, if his parents married 1874
