If you go by the 1881. census i put on for the Learmonth, family. The children George, age 16. William 15. Alexander 12. and Mary 12. their births are all on Family Search, to parents William Learmonth, and Mary Gibson.
For example your William Learmonth, born 13/Aug/1865 Sanday, Orkney. To parents William Learmonth, and Mary Gibson.
The two older daughters are not there well under that spelling of Learmonth.
When you go to look for a marriage of William Learmonth, to a Mary Gibson, there is no marriage, however there is a marriage in Orkney, as thus William Learmont, and Mary Gibson, 5/June 1857, Rousay, & Eglishay, Orkney, which is no doubt your couple.
Just to link this there is a birth for Laurie Jane Learmont, 11/May/1858, Rousay, & Eglishay, to parents William Learmont, and Mary Gibson.
However at this moment i cannot find the birth of Ann Learmonth, under any variation.
However there is no doubt its the same family as the four of them are living in Orkney, on the 1861. under Learmont.
