Advice needed for marriage in West Ham - Wilson / Kent

Hi !

I need your help regarding a marriage I have found on freebmd listing. I would like to access the certificate on Ancestry like I have done for the rest of the family but this one doesn't come up. I don't understand why... Has anyone got an idea ?

Jun qr 1909 - West Ham
Arthur Earnest Wilson
Mary Ann M Kent
Bedfordshire : Winepress, Carter, Ball, James

Middlesex (Enfield) : Larman, Winepress, Bennett, Mays

Could this be because it's in West Ham ? The ones I accessed easily were in or around Bethnal Green..

Yes, but I can't find the church marriage certificate with exact date, witnesses etc

You can access the London Marriages and Banns certificates online, but not for the parish West Ham. Is this what you mean?

There could well be a simple answer to this in that the marriage may not have taken place in Church anyway!

Or it took place in a parish not yet covered by ancestry ( it's not in FindMyPast parish marriages either).

Can't see anything in British Newspapers archives either. If you can afford it, why not just order the certificate through GRO (General Register Office) in the UK?
Not sure why it had been suggested it may not have taken place in a church? West Ham is not listed as one of the parishes covered by the London Marriages on Ancestry, still part of Essex.

The West Ham RD came under Essex so you would need to look for the parish registers on SEAX.
