Thank you so much for your response, and so quickly. I have just had a quick look at her death and immigration records you supplied, and I am convinced it is the person I'm seeking (the death record quotes her parents).I confess I'm not a particular fan of FamilySearch, but that may be because I've not really got to grips with it, but this suggests I ought to give it more attention. I'll download all this stuff tomorrow, and I know I will have a good day.

Quite the fellow indeed! No mention of his wife Lily/Lilly etc. in any of those articles. Not bad though, for a girl from Harrogate, who was a domestic servant at the age of 15. Quite proud of her.

There are other entries for them i.e.1953, 1958.

Gordan A, was married and had children by 1958 cannot post info as they may still be living.

They certainly were busy sailing across the Atlantic so many times. I note that all the returns to Canada were in the month of September, wondered if this coincided with a musical "season".

Hi Jool,
Yes, I had a quick look this afternoon, but need to spend much more time browsing. I never expected to find a picture of Lily/Lillie, but to find all these, I'm indebted to you. I'm working through all the replies and there is so much information in them, it will take me a little while, but so satisfying. Although I'm "ok" with family history research (I've been doing it for over 30 years), I'm a novice at using chat rooms and forums. Didn't know I was missing out on so much help and advice, but better late than never.
So thanks again, I will enjoy scrolling thro' the publication.
