I do apologize... you are correct, Mary Jane married James
GRENFELL (bap. 17 Sep 1837 St. Just, s/o William GRENFELL & Jane WALLS) at
Pendeen on 17 Nov 1860. (not Richard, that I said.)

So you are saying that James GRENFELL and Richard GRENFELL were brothers. Did they have a brother Henry also I wonder? who might have been the father of Mary Ann GRENFELL?

Here is where I found Mary Ann GRENFELL whom I think must be the mother of Mary Ann Trezize GRENFELL, illigitimate:

Day Month   09-Jan
Year   1856
Parish Or Reg District   Pendeen
Forename   Mary Ann
Surname   GRENFELL
Sex
Father Forename   Henry
Mother Forename   Amelia
Residence   Pendeen
Father Rank Profession   Miner

Here is a Henry Tresize GRENFELL.......... interesting:

Day Month   12-Nov
Year   1820
Parish Or Reg District   Just in Penwith, St.
Forename   Henry Trezise
Surname   GRENFELL
