Hi There,

Ernest James SMITH was buried 26/11/1966.
I am not sure who Elizabeth Bridget SMITH is she was buried with him on 29/11/1977

I have found that Harriet FINAMORE died on 8/10/1951 under the surname SMITH if that helps.

Have not checked yet to see where she is buried.

Hi Newbe
We share a 3rd and 4th Grandparent. I am also from Isobel Donald / John Smith line. Then through Hannah line . Would be keen to share information. I was also searching for Geoerge James Donald's gravestone and have tromped through the upper Coomera and Foxwell Road Cemetries looking.... Am going to go to Nerang Historical Society and see if they have further information.

Hi newbe_nz
I was in the middle of a little family research and came across your question about George Donald. He was also my 3 times great grandfather. A news story was published in Queensland's Courier Mail last week that will interest you as it relates to George's grave site. The story tells us of a block of land about to be sold in the Upper Coomera which was the site of the once Holy Rood Church. The story goes to tells that three bodies have been found by ground scanning. A leader of the church that owns the site has deduced that one of these is the grave of George Donald. If you would like to know more, please reply.

I say, that is a very interesting article. I am now wondering who is buried with George DONALD.  Will need to check my family tree to see if I have anything recorded or not.

Hi Also new to site.

Am also a descendant of George and Ann. Down through Isobel... Hannah Smith, Phoebe Godfrey and beyond.   Keen to find out as much as possible.
Was very excited to see the news article in Courier Mail / Anglicare . I went to the site on Maudsland Road today and stood near the markers - outlining the area George is reportedly buried. Very exciting if it is him - I have trekked through both cemeteries in Coomera looking for him to no avail.  There was a photo on Ancestry.com.au - not sure if it is verified but it claims to be George Jame Donald.... . Look forward to following this thread! And finding others from the down line.
