Thank you for your suggestions Cas, however I have searched for any "Harper" christenings in Birmingham and Foleshill/Warks -  leaving the Christian name blank - with parents named John and Elizabeth Harper - no results.

Hello there, my g grandfather born 1839. I have same problem no address given on birth certificate, it just states Foleshill. On the 1841 census area given as Binley. I have his baptism details again no home address. It is frustrating. Good Luck

Hi Murrell

Yes I agree its so frustrating to just have the district our ancestors were born in on the birth certificate. Never come across this before with my family research.

I'm at a loss as to where to go next to find an address - hence my post.

Hi this is a long shot but have you thought of asking the local archives which I think maybe Warwickshire to request information about Foleshill. I am getting the feeling it may have been a small hamlet, which if true from old maps you may find local buildings. I don't think there was a near by church as my 2x gr grandfather was baptised in Coventry. If I find out any details I will post. As from previous posting I am interested in Foleshill lack of addresses.

There are some transcribed parish records on here.
Some of mine were born in Foleshill but baptised in Exhall.
Or was she baptised in Birmingham when they moved?

Thank you for your recent suggestions - i'm afraid I haven't done any more research on my Grandmother since my original post (due to family health issues).

I haven't been able to establish when the family left Foleshill for Birmingham - certainly by 1905 they are licensees of a public house in Birmingham.

I have previously done a general search on Ancestry for any Harper birth/baptism between 1901 and 1905 but nothing.

I would think about alternative churches, like Baptist or Methodist.
It wouldn't be that unusual for one child to be baptised elsewhere - its happened randomly in my family!
It could be that they moved before they got her baptised and didn't bother once they had moved.

I may be doing a day over at Warwick records office before the end of the month, so if I do (and I remember), I'll have a look at the records that don't yet appear on Ancestry.
I checked Find My Past and there's nowt on there either.

Thank you Lisajj that's very kind of you.

I have found birth/baptism records for her younger siblings after her parents returned to Birmingham - so its seems strange if my Grandmother wasn't baptised.
