Frances Ann Dobson/William Greaves - Heworth/BillQuay/Hebburn

I am trying to track my great grandparents Williams Greaves and Frances Ann Dobson. In 1881 census they resided at Ann Street, Bill Quay. There were two children  Anne 2 and William 4 months.

In 1901 they resided at 6 Church Street, Hebburn, and the family had grown to at least seven children. Anne and Elizabeth were not shown on the census, the others were William, Isabella, Joseph, John and Charles.

William was shown as being born in Sussex and Frances in Durham, I think Melaw or some name similar.

I think her birthplace on the 1881 census says Pelaw Main - if you check the map this is very near to Heworth.

There is a christening for a Frances Ann Dobson 21 February 1859   Gateshead, Durham parents John and Elizabeth Frances Dobson.

It would seem to be the right one -

You will need the birth certificate of one of the children to get Elizabeth's maiden name and so get the marriage of them.  Be careful there are a few John Dobsons and Elizabeth around in 1851 so maybe best not to take a guess.

From what I have been able to put together I think Elizabeth was a Henderson born at Gateshead around 1824 by calculating from census figures. I think the marriage was on 21 October, 1846, also at Gateshead. I have not been able to establish much more than this at this stage.
