have a grt auntie who married into our Close family in Canada....Jean Wilford,
b. 23jun1929....other than the fact that she came from somewhere in England have next to no information...any insight you have on how to search for her would be greatly appreciated.

I looked at the England and Wales quarterly birth indices from Jun 1929 to Dec 1931 and I found three possibles:

WILLFORD, Joan (mother's maiden name HOPLEY), Salford, vol 8d p512 Jan-Mar 1930

WELFORD, Jean, (mother's maiden name HICKSON), Durham, vol 10a p672, Apr-Jun 1930

WILFORD, Jean R. (mother's maiden name COX), Kettering, vol 3b page 207 Apr-Jun 1931


None of these are a precise match with the information you have, but they are the closest I could find.
