Roots for DIMMOCK in Olney
« on: Saturday 20 March 10 20:15 GMT (UK) »
Hi

I am now trying to trace back my paternal grandmothers family.  She was Winifred Elizabeth Dimmock born in 1896.  Her father was Charles Barnard Dimmock and he was a master cabinet maker.
She married my grandfather Frederick Hill in ?  I can guess it was around 1916 or so as my aunt was born in 1917 and my father in 1923.

Thanks
Bev

Hi Bev

Just to clarify - which county are you talking about - Gloucestershire? or Buckinghamshire?

Hi
She was born in Buckinghamshire ( I think!)  I know it is near Northampton.  We are from Bedfordshire

Thanks
Bev

Hmmm - I moved the thread to Bucks, based on Genuki

http://met.open.ac.uk/genuki/big/eng/BKM/Olney/index.html

It could be that records that emerge will be for other counties as we work back but we'll see ...

 :)

Edit - did you just change your post, Sue - could have sworn you said Bedfordshire just now?!?

No- I think I am confusing things.  I live in Bedfordshire as that is where Winifred moved to after her marriage to Fred Hill.
