Royal Dublin Fusiler
« on: Monday 04 August 14 16:30 BST (UK) »
Hi
Hoping this is the right place for this query. I have just come across a war record for a
Garrett Leach who served in WW1 and was demobed in 1919. In August 1918 he was charged
in Dublin with been absent without leave. From the court record it states that he was born in
Phibsboro and was last living in Waterford st. Dublin. What i am trying to find out is this-
what church served Phibsboro ? and from the surviving military records can i find out where
he enlisted and his parents names ? Any help or advice is welcome.

His 1910 prison record for stealing ties him to the family in Stafford St.

Hi
Thanks everybody. Cath151 thats him alright, he was in prison a lot.
Where did you find his enlistment details ? I would be interested in seeing it.
Dathai thanks for the census details. The one from Kildare is interesting, but i'm
not sure as if he was serving he would'nt be working. Is there any where i can
      find his enlistment details.
