Mary turns up on 1911 Census age 27, maid domestic, born Fortland, Cavan as was her mother Ellen. Her father now states that he was born in Cowan Bridge, Lancs. Joseph and Ellen have been married for 29 years.

That's interesting, what is the spelling of the surname and what is the address etc and occupants.. Searching through cards I've found one posted to Mary in France!.. Wonder why she wasn't with the family on 1891 & 1901 census?..

If you go to Familysearch and type in each Joseph, Ellen's and three daughters name it will confirm who is living at the address and where they were all born.

Must be doing something wrong on familysearch as only getting a hit on Joseph.. Do I need to search individually on each family member?

Yes you have to look at each member of the family individually. If you have a subscription to one of the family research sites you should be able to see the whole family together.

Have you tried the 1911 census - you can search it on familysearch

You just need to put in surname Blackburne & select residence Egham 1911 - 1911

Sorry I should also have said select Country - England
It should bring up all of the Blackburne family in one go.
