My ancestor Johannes Conrad Pertz was born in the village of Hessisch Oldendorf on 17 february 1789. He came in 1814 to Ostend - Belgium. In september 1815 , I found that he was a private in the second batallion "Anglo-Allemand "(= King's german Legion). On the Peninsular Medal Roll 1793-1814 and the Waterloo Medal Roll 1815 I found a certain John Pertz, private in the second light batallion KGL. I want to investigate if Johannes Conrad Pertz= John Pertz ??
Has anyone experience with the documents of the KGL Archives in the National Achieves, Kew London? Can I find for instance the date  and place of birth of the soldiers?
