Hi Mary,

Do you know who your grandparents were?
So you and Thelochman are obviously related... you are his Aunt? And Marvin and Thelochman must be cousins.
Do you know each other already?

And more importantly (for me  ;)) do any of you know any further back?
Anne do you know who your grandparents were?
My family were in Carndonagh and still are... what about yours?
I have checked the Griffins Valuation and we are not on it, so maybe we aquired it after this date.

Donagh/Carndonagh Parish Records for Doherty
« Reply #21 on: Wednesday 09 September 09 00:51 BST (UK) »
I noticed the amount of info you had on the McElhinney and was hoping you had relatives in your family from the Doherty and / or McCafferty lines. I have a John Doherty that married a Rose McCafferty around 1860. They had a lot of children, but their son Michael Doherty married a Rose Doherty. Her parents were Arthur Doherty and Anne Kearney. I was hoping someone in your families were related. Thank you, Bob

Hi,

The Irish line is very difficult to trace, even with living relatives who are still in the original homestead!
I don't have any info on that side of the family sorry, but the people on this website are very helpful :-)
Good luck

Hi everybody,
I am looking for any information on Annie McEhlenney from Carndonagh
as she is my Great Grannie

The Info that i already have is that she married my Great Granddad Thomas (Tommy) Comiskey from
Longford

I have the 1911 census return from the family home she had 4 brothers Owen, Patrick, Jonny and Daniel but she isn't listed at the address. At a guess she was born between 1887 - 1868 as that was the top and bottom of the age difference

Thanks in advance for any help

I'm not sure whether I fit in here somewhere (probably but where is the $64m question!).  My 2xGt grandmother was Anne Mcelhinney b1834 in Co Donegal probably in the Rossbracken/Leck near Letterkenny.  Her father was James a farmer and they were a presbyterian family.  She married an Andrew Gailey on 17 Jan 1867.  Witness was her brother Robert.

Just found this which was updated today and has Boyle graves which might be of interest to Anne (Portyglir)
